Heritage & Design Advice
Including professional expertise at an early stage in your planning process is a cost-effective way to avoid costly redesign later on, as risks and issues relating to the historic environment can often become significant constraints.
As part of the design team or as ad hoc specialist input, at RIBA stages 0-2 HHD&C adds value to your project by integrating your aims with potential opportunities, as well as identifying potential obstacles, offered by the historic environment. We are happy to attend pre-app meetings, or just to provide an appropriate briefing.
As the scheme develops during RIBA stages 3-4, further more detailed studies and planning supporting statements can be provided to ease the planning process, and designs for site investigation, either pre-determination or through mitigation as required, would be developed and tailored to the specifics of the project.
