Written Scheme of Investigation
All programmes of survey, investigation and recording require careful design so the aims and objectives are understood by all parties, the methods are appropriate for delivering them, the logistics and health and safety issues have been identified and addressed. These elements are documented in a project design, method statement, or specification which is generally referred to as a Written Scheme of Investigation. Poorly devised schemes can lead to serious problems and costly delays, and at HHD&C we are accustomed to liaising closely with clients, architects, principal contractors and regulators to ensure a mutually agreed approach, which minimises risk whilst effectively addressing the needs of legislation and the planning system, is designed and negotiated.
